Our old apartment was situated in a university area (see 2 October) which turned out to be somewhat noisier than we could handle. We kept thinking that their professors weren’t giving those kids enough homework. Today we moved to a new place. Setting up house, we shopped at a new grocery store. Some key items:
- Valpolicella Ripasso Superior 2014 (local red wine): €7,99 (~$9.43 and verrry good)
- Aperol: €8,19 (~$9.66)
- Prosecco: €4,99 (~$5.89) — gotta have those spritz
You might notice that I’ve been expressing those decimal amounts using a comma. Europeans reverse our convention. Thus 1,000,000.00 (US) becomes 1.000.000,00 (Europe).
