The Poetic Nature of Italian

Ciaoi, i miei amici!

Italian is an incredibly beautiful language.  It sounds beautiful and it reads beautifully (ie. Like Spanish, what you see written is easily decoded to the spoken).  Not only that, Italians have many beautiful ways to express themselves (not counting their hand gestures).  My favorite is their way for the verb, to give birth.  Like English, it is a compound verb (taking several words to express the concept).  The Italian is dare alla luce and is pronounced “dah-ray ah-lah loo-chay”.  Its literal translation is to give to the light.

How cool is that?!

Ciao!
